Job description:
Performance Staffing is currently recruiting for a variety of light Industrial jobs ranging from part-time to full-We are actively recruiting for an experienced, detail-oriented, and problem-solving Manufacturing Operator and Machine Technician to join one of our client’s teams. We have multiple positions available that begin as temporary positions but can move to permanent positions.
There are two shifts available:
- 1st shift- Monday- Thursday 4:50 am-3:00 pm
- 2nd shift – Monday- Thursday 2:50 pm – 1:00 am
- In this role, you will be involved in the manufacturing process such as production, assembly, and inspection of products while adhering to quality standards and maintaining accurate records. You may also be required to set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment and systems.
You will be responsible for:
- Setting up and operate production equipment
- Assembling materials using written instructions (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Visually inspect, ensure, and assemble parts in process to quality specifications
- Accurately entering data into our tracking system
- Being team-oriented and fostering a positive work environment
- Being consistent and predictable in attendance and punctuality
- Partnering with other functions to continuously assess and improve processes
- Maintaining compliance with training expectations as required for this position
- Learning any additional responsibilities as required within the scope of the position
Required Qualifications:
- Mechanical aptitude and machine operation experience
- Experience working within a defined Quality System and able to make good product quality decisions
- Able to routinely lift 35 pounds and be on your feet most of the shift
- Must be able to work in a controlled/regulated environment which includes wearing a frock, PPE, etc.
Be able to demonstrate the following skills:
- Learn and execute a manufacturing process and follow written instructions.
- Multitask and balance multiple priorities, apply good personal judgement and consult others when needed.
- Keep accurate and complete records, Work independently as well as in an environment.
- Perform basic mathematical computations.
- Clearly communicate both verbally and in writing including responding to feedback.
- Work the scheduled shift and have flexibility to meet business needs
