Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter to join our construction and renovation team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential, commercial, and industrial painting, with a strong understanding of various painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing processes. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including restoration, remodeling, and new construction sites. Candidates with hands-on experience in blueprint reading, schematics, and the use of power tools will excel in this position. A background in carpentry, plastering, caulking, and masonry is a plus. The successful applicant will contribute to high-quality workmanship and ensure client satisfaction through meticulous attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Perform interior and exterior painting projects
- Complete drywall repairs, patching and surface preparation
- Conduct touch-up painting to maintain property standards
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding and priming
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of painting tools and equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Ability to climb ladders and work at varying heights
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend and move frequently
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, or construction site painting
- Knowledge of construction estimating and basic math for measuring surfaces and calculating materials needed
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and spray equipment (including airless paint sprayers)
- Knowledge of painting techniques, tools and materials
- Ability to follow verbal instructions and safety guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Strong understanding of color theory for accurate color matching and finishing touches
- Ability to read schematics and technical instructions accurately
- Construction site experience with safety awareness and adherence to protocols
- Excellent problem-solving skills with handyman experience preferred
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments

Pay: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour, depending on experience

- Regular attendance is an essential function of all our positions to ensure continuity.
- Must be willing and able to work weekends and holidays if assigned.
- May be required to stand on their feet and/ or walk up to 8-12 hours per day
- May involve regular bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting
