Light Industrial Opportunities

Performance Staffing is currently recruiting for a variety of light Industrial Jobs ranging from part-time to full-time.

Then a position in the Light Industrial field might be for you! These positions pay ranges from $17.40 – $19 per hour depending on the position and experience required.

Below is a list of our most common/available jobs, please keep in mind we receive new work orders weekly so for a more up-to-date list please contact our office. We are trying to fill several positions immediately!

ASSEMBLY / PRODUCTION 

In an assembly or production role, you’ll be using blueprints and schematics to accurately assemble pieces out of the pre-made parts. Often times you will find yourself using general tools to accomplish your tasks, but you will get to work with specialized tools as well. These types of jobs require dexterity, general assembly knowledge and experience, and a keen eye for detail. 

DISTRIBUTION / FULFILLMENT 

Distribution and fulfillment will have you tracking and moving incoming stock, as well as outgoing products and orders. You will often be required to move materials. You may also find yourself using freight or software programs and tools to track orders and monitor stock. 

QUALITY CONTROL 

Quality control is a role that makes sure standards and specifications are being met when it comes to the manufacturing process. These roles often use specialized testing tools to ensure processes and results are up to standard. 

OPERATOR 

Operators are the people that are in charge of running the machines and tools that automate manufacturing processes. This role requires experience with specific tools that is often gained on the job through an apprenticeship program. 

TECHNICIAN / MECHANIC 

Technicians and mechanics take care of equipment maintenance and repair. They also work with engineers to design and develop automation processes to increase the efficiency of the manufacturing process. This role requires troubleshooting skills and specialized knowledge of the necessary tools and processes.  

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • One year of experience performing unskilled manual labor.
  • Detail/accuracy orientation.
  • Proficient computer and data entry skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Organization skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently 
  • Ability to performs non-equipment operational duties

Other Requirements:

  • Regular attendance is an essential function of all our positions to ensure continuity.
  • Must be willing and able to work weekends and holidays if assigned.
  • May be required to stand on their feet and/ or walk up to 12 hours per day
  • May involve regular bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
